Good morning everybody, and I hope you all had a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
Monday
Chance and I headed out for a walk before I started work for the day. We are going to Arizona in January so I pulled out my hiking boots to wear on our shorter walks for the next few weeks to make sure they are still broken in. I got these from Cabela’s a few years ago, and they have been great! I think I sized up a half a size, but I probably could have sized up a whole size.

We had a Christmas party at work on Monday! It was so nice to see everybody again. Between working from home and moving to a different office on Thursdays, I haven’t seen my coworkers in months! We did a gift exchange and ate lots of yummy food. I came back home to work for a few more hours before calling it quits for the day.
I did a leg work out and then Chance and I walked a few miles around the neighborhood. For my leg work outs the last few months, I have been sticking to the basics. Squats, RDLs, hip thrusts, and good mornings are my favorite go tos. I am working more on my form and upping my weights. I love the progress I am seeing. One of my favorite women to follow on Instagram regarding weight lifting is Bailey (@bodyfitbalance). She has a ton of great work outs and really knows what she’s doing.
I showered, ordered Chipotle, and worked a few hours at my part time job. Then I made some tea before bed!
Tuesday
I didn’t take any pictures until Tuesday afternoon! I did an arm work out and then took Chance to the park for a 3 mile walk.

Once we got home, I made some bone broth to get in some protein after my work out and then hopped in the shower. I have been trying to find something to drink after a work out that isn’t super sweet tasting like protein powder, and I have been loving bone broth! It also helps to warm up after our walks and runs in the chilly weather.

I ordered these socks from Amazon last week for our upcoming trip to AZ. We are planning on going on a hike every day we are there so I wanted to get some nice hiking socks. The quality of these are amazing, and I love all the colors. I also ordered some blister guards just in case.
Kyle picked up Mexican food for dinner. Surprise, I know! It was delicious like always. Our local Mexican restaurant has the best carnitas, and I love mixing beans, rice, and pico. YUM
Wednesday

We had tumor board on Wednesday morning so I made my coffee and settled in at my desk. These meetings are usually about 1-1.5 hours, but today’s was 2 hours. There were lots of patients to discuss.

Kyle, Chance, and I went to the park after work for a run/walk. We ran half a mile and walked the rest of the loop to make it 1 mile. We’re going to up our distance next week, but we’re taking it slow! I know we could run farther now, but I just want to enjoy it and not pressure us to run as far as possible.

Nothing that we had at home sounded good so we picked up Panera on our way home from our run. I got half a bacon, turkey, and avocado sandwich, and half a Caesar salad.
Thursday
I didn’t take any photos on Thursday. It wasn’t a super busy day at work because of the holidays so I caught up on some other work things, and I was also covering for another nurse. It was a good last day of work before our Christmas vacation! I took Chance on a little walk, but it was a pretty lowkey day.
Friday

Our sweet neighbors brought us over a gift basket for Christmas, and they included a bag of treats for Chance. These are my kind of people!

For Christmas Eve, we had Chinese food, made a fire, watched “A Merry Friggin’ Christmas” (super cute and funny movie we hadn’t ever heard of!) and “It’s A Wonderful Life”, and opened gifts. It was the perfect evening!
Saturday
We spent Christmas day at my brother and sister in law’s house with my parents, siblings, nieces, and nephews. It was such a fun and happy day! We opened gifts, played outside, ate TONS of food, and ended the evening with coffee by the fire. I am so thankful to have a family who we absolutely love spending time with. What a blessing!
Sunday

One of my gifts from Kyle was the book God Bless This Mess by Hannah Brown. I started reading it Christmas Eve and Christmas night and finished it on Sunday. 10/10!! I absolutely loved this book. Hannah is an amazing writer, and I really enjoyed every chapter of this book. It’s filled with stories about things she went through growing up, being in the pageant world, being a part of the Bachelor/Bachelorette franchise, and her life now. She seems incredibly down to earth in this book, and she talks a lot about her relationship with Jesus. This book is raw and honest, and I appreciate her openness so much!

We picked up a little around the house, organized the closet in the office, put away Christmas gifts, and planned out the week ahead.
I really want to preface that I did NOT take photos of even close to all the food I ate this week. I didn’t do it on purpose, I just kept forgetting or just didn’t have my phone with me. I don’t want any of you to ever think that I only eat what I take pictures of because I definitely eat more than that.
