Hey everybody! I am so sorry I have been MIA these last few weeks. We spent some time with family over the weekend, and work has been so busy this month. I hope you all are doing well and are ready for this recap! It’s going to be pretty random, but I want to share some updates and a couple hauls from the last few weeks.
I’ve continued going to church every Sunday for the last few weeks. I have felt so much more at peace and less anxious lately, and I know getting back to church is a big part of that. I am still using my She Reads Truth bible, and it is the best bible I’ve ever used. It’s beautiful and has the perfect amount of room to take notes. I saw on Instagram last week that the bible is one of the most shoplifted items from stores. I love that people want a bible so bad that they’d steal it, but I hate that they’re in that situation! You do not need a fancy bible to get into the word. One from Goodwill or the dollar store has the exact same message and will do everything it needs to for you! If you can’t afford a bible, PLEASE LET ME KNOW! I’d love to help.

I had to go to the dentist to get a filling, and Doc, the therapy dog, laid in my room the whole time. MADE MY DAY! Isn’t he adorable? He is my dentist’s dog, and she trained him to be a therapy dog. He comes in with her every day to help those who don’t love going to the dentist (AKA everybody).

I finally watched the Oprah interview with Harry and Meghan, and HOLY MOLY was it intense. I feel bad for everybody in the situation and pray they can all have peace. I obviously know NOTHING about them or what happened, but it was so hard to watch Meghan talk about how low and alone she was. That’s a terrible feeling.

Spring is officially here and summer is quickly on it’s way in Tennessee! The trees were in full bloom for about a week, and they were so beautiful. I wish the flowers stayed for longer, but it only means hot sunny days are almost here! Yay!
I placed an order from Thrive Market, and everything I ordered was so good! The pretzels were gone in about 2 minutes, and the popsicles are going to be perfect for when summer arrives. My orders always come within 2-3 days which is awesome, and most products are a lot cheaper than in the stores.

Kyle brought out his Valentine’s gift from Swanky Badger, and I love the way it turned out! If you ever have trouble finding a gift for a man in your life, Swanky Badger has so many great options. I bought Kyle a wallet as well, and the quality of all the items we got is amazing!
I picked up a few organizational pieces at Target last week and cleaned up our pantry a little bit. In our dream home, we’re going to have a walk in pantry with everything labeled and organized, and that makes me so happy to think about! The pantry at our rental house is bigger than our last one, but still pretty small. The shelves on the floor and turntables really help give us more space! Target had a ton of great options in their kitchen area.

These dishes have been all over Instagram for the last few weeks, and I decided to check them out when I was at Target. As you can see, I did more than check them out. haha I got all of these dishes for under $30. I wanted a bright spring color, but we thought these would hold up better and match everything. I got 10 cups, bowls, and plates, 2 large serving dishes, and 2 large serving bowls. I think these will be great for when we have people over and for grilling out!

Kyle and I are going to Florida in a few weeks with Shaylynn and her son, Harrison, so I picked up these plastic toiletry bags and bottles at Target. The smaller bags are perfect for storing all the bottles, and the big bag that says essentials on it will be great for the beach for sunscreen, phones, chapstick, etc. The bottles are made of a silicone material so they seem more durable, and they’re much easier to fill than the small plastic ones I used to use. The bags were in the dollar bins at the front of the store, and the bottles were back in the toiletries section.
Target had so many great Easter basket options this year! I picked up all these toys, books, and baskets from Target and put the baskets together at home. It’s so much more fun to make them myself in my opinion, and it makes me excited to see the kiddos open them. The top basket is for my almost 2 year old niece, the middle basket is for my 8 year old niece, and the bottom one is for my 4 year old nephew.

I had to get something for the baby, but since she’s only 8 months, I picked up these outfits from Target. Aren’t they adorable?? I love the bright colors, and the prices ranged from $6-8.

I ran into Ulta last weekend because I needed more Hyaluronic Acid (this brand is only $7!), and I picked up this cleanser as well. I use it in the evenings when I shower, and the scent is heavenly and relaxing. Perfect for winding down at the end of the day!
My athletic wear orders came in, and WOW I love them all so much. The quality is top notch, and all the pieces so flattering! I feel so confident in them, and they’re worth every single penny to me.

I did some at home work outs and Chance and I went on multiple runs and walks over the last few weeks. My new work out clothes have held up so well. They are so comfortable and fit so much better than my old work out clothes. Ever since I started lifting, the leggings I used to wear when I was only running are too tight. I had a hard time with that at first, but then realized I shouldn’t be wasting energy on being upset that my clothes don’t fit because I’m putting on muscle. So that’s when I decided to order some new, beautiful pieces from two awesome companies that actually fit and flatter me and throw the old ones in the Goodwill pile. Our bodies change as we change, and that’s okay!
My Spring Fab Fit Fun box came this week! Yay! This package is always so fun to get, and I am excited to use the products. I’ll let you all know how I like them! Another great thing about FFF is that if something isn’t my taste, I save it for a friend or family member.

I’m still using my Day Designer religiously. I have been sitting out in the sunshine in the afternoons, drinking my greens and collagen, taking my vitamins, and making my to do list for the next day.

With the heat rising and Chance and I getting back into running more and more, I’ve started cooking an egg and adding it to his dinner on the days that we run. He obviously loves it, and I think he deserves the protein boost! It’s also supposed to be really good for his coat so I’ll keep an eye on that and report back.

Work has been going really well lately. We’re busy, but I am still really enjoying what I’m doing. On a walk the other day, I was thinking about how this time last year, I was jobless and stressing because we had just moved and COVID had most hospitals on a hiring freeze. I wish I could go back and tell myself that the best job ever was just around the corner and to continue to have faith. I’m super thankful that we were prepared, and that Kyle encouraged me to wait until I found a job I actually wanted. God’s timing is everything, y’all.

I always get so excited when I see that you’ve posted again. I feel like your posts are just so “real” and like you’re just living your day to day life and don’t try to make it seem like it is better than everyone else’s which some bloggers do, in my opinion… how have you been enjoying your spin bike? Are you still using the Peloton App? If not, you must because I think that’s a true game changer for home work outs. I have been taking a daily yoga/stretch class in the afternoons and I have been LOVING it!
With Easter coming this weekend, I am not sure if I am looking forward to it or not. My family doesn’t generally do much but I think my dad and I are going to go on a long hike… which I am looking forward to. Do you think you’ll have a busy holiday weekend? I wish I lived in Europe during these holidays because they get a 4 day weekend for Easter. So jealous! Will you be enjoy any easter treats??
I appreciate that so much!
I’ve been walking/running outside since the weather has been so nice so I’ve been slacking on riding my spin bike!! I have only heard great things about the Peleton app, and those classes sound awesome. I think I would do a lot better if I had a class like that to follow so I think I’m going to get it!
Did you go on your hike?? I definitely enjoyed ALL the Easter treats and spent the day with my brother, sister in law, and niece. It was wonderful, and we had beautiful weather!!
