A Day in the Life: Monday Edition!

I woke up at 5 this morning to make our bed and head to the gym!

I got to the gym around 5:45 and hopped on the treadmill. I am still doing the 12-3-30 challenge which is when I walk for 30 minutes at an incline of 12 and a speed of 3. It seriously kick my butt, and I love it on the days I don’t run! I am hoping it will help me run these Tennessee hills!

I did the following arm exercises:

  • 10×4 Shoulder press machine
  • 10×4 Chest press machine
  • 10×4 Tricep dips (behind the head) with a dumbbell
  • 10×4 Row machine

Once I got home, I made a smoothie with frozen blueberries, vanilla protein powder, milk, chia seeds, and ice. I haven’t been making smoothies lately, but it’s such a good breakfast. I also mixed up my collagen for the morning and took my vitamins. I’m currently taking a women’s multivitamin, fish oil, turmeric, COQ10, and Vitamin D.

I rearranged my office over the weekend, and I really enjoyed working in it today! It feels roomier, and I like being able to see out both of the windows. It also just flows better in my opinion.

After I worked for a few hours, I made a cappuccino and snacked on some granola. I am still obsessed with our Nespresso machine if you can’t tell.

Around 11, Chance and I headed out for a 1 mile walk. I said I was going to do better at getting in more movement on days that I work from home so I wrote in my planner to take a walk at 11 and 2. It really helped me stay accountable, and I felt so much better throughout the day!

I had pepperoni, cheese slices, bell pepper slices, and pretzels when we got back from our walk. Does anybody else love cheddar pretzels? I know they’re not good for me, but that’s okay sometimes. I’ve loved these since I was a kid!

Walking with Chance outside
Manifest podcast episode

I worked for a couple more hours before heading out for our second 1 mile walk around 2. I listened to the new Manifest podcast episode during our walks today, and it was a good one like always! Next week’s episode is about Tori’s morning routine, and I am so pumped for it!

Packed lunch ideas
Siete chips for a snack

I stopped working at 4 and snacked on some Siete chips while making my snacks for tomorrow. I am getting my second COVID vaccine tomorrow at 12:30 so I am just going to come home to work in the afternoon instead of driving back to my office so I didn’t bring everything I normally do. I packed granola, siete chips, peppers, berries, and a beef stick.

Eye cream

Skin care time! This oil cleanser has been a serious gamechanger for me. It takes off everything gently from mascara to foundation to all the oil and dirt build up throughout the day. I’ve always thought it sounded silly to “double cleanse“, but I am a firm believer in it now! I am also still loving my Curology cleanser and moisturizer, and my skin feels so much better now that I’ve added Hyaluronic Acid to my nightly routine. I have recently added an eye cream to my nightly routine. I am using this one right now because it came in my FFF box. No matter how much sleep I get, I always have dark circles under my eyes so we’ll see if this helps!

Hello Fresh meal
Hello Fresh meal

I mixed my greens and cooked a Hello Fresh meal for dinner. This is one of my new favorites! I am a huge shrimp lover, and the garlic butter makes it even more delicious. Kyle and I watched an episode of Friends while we ate.

I’m also getting back into drinking tea every night. I have been struggling staying asleep the last few weeks without taking melatonin so I am trying to find other ways to help wind down in the evenings. I like to mix the Yogi bedtime, Kava, and ginger tea bags.

Devotional

Before going to bed, I read a devotional and answered the questions from this devotional guide. I am really enjoying these, and I am so glad I ordered them! Simple, yet powerful. For some reason, I can’t find this exact one, but I love this one too!

Just checking in to make sure you’re okay! Long time no blog post! Hope all is well and that you are just enjoying a nice little social media break! And to answer your questions:

What’s your favorite part of your morning routine? I have to MAKE my bed, get in my workout, and take shower! Once I get those things taken care of I am set for a GOOD day! <3
And your night routine? I enjoy making dinner, watching tv, searching the internet, and chatting with my mom.
Did you do anything fun this weekend!? Nothing too fun here this weekend just chores and getting ready for another busy week! 🤷‍♀️
