I got up at 5AM to get ready for the gym and take my pre work out. For the last few weeks, I haven’t been getting up for my morning work out on days that I work from home. I got back into my routine today, and it felt so good. I always feel so accomplished and like I can really tackle the day if I get a work out in early.

Something I am thankful for is having a Planet Fitness within 5 minutes from our home. That is so convenient! Kyle and I are working towards having a little at home gym in our garage, but until then, I’m happy here! I walked for 30 minutes at a 12 incline and 3 speed. Walking at an incline is my favorite form of cardio right now. Also, I am obsessed with these headphones that my brother in law and his fiancé got me for Christmas. They’re perfect for the gym!

After I walked, I did a few ab exercises and stretched for a while. I am seriously going to do better at stretching this year. I really have been slacking at it, and my body feels so much better when I take the time to do it.

Once I got home, I drank my greens, added a scoop of collagen to my water glass, and took my vitamins. I used to mix my greens and collagen, but the consistency becomes a little too thick for my liking. It’s tasteless so putting it in my morning water is super easy!

Make your bed every morning. Seriously, do it! I have so many ideas for decorating our bedroom and looking at these photos make me so excited to get started.

This granola is DELICIOUS! I had some of it along with some berries for breakfast. I added a tiny bit of monkfruit sweetener because they were super sour today.

Around 11AM, Chance and I went for a mile walk. I am going to do better about getting in more movement when I work from home. I know I’ve said that a million times, but I have written in my planner to do one walk around 11AM and 2PM. I think that’ll help me stay accountable, and Chance will be happy too! I also feel like I concentrate so much better when I take walk breaks throught the day.

I had a beef stick, pita chips and hummus for a late morning snack. These pita chips are incredible, and I forgot how much I love hummus.

We had a meeting after lunch so I made a cappuccino with our Nespresso machine and turned on my heated blanket. Kyle’s mom bought him this Nespresso machine for his birthday last year, and it is the BEST!

Chance and I walked another mile after my meeting, and then it was time for his nap. This chaise is right next to my desk so he lays there like 99% of the time I’m working. It’s the best!

I listened to the new Happy Hour podcast episode during our walks today, and it was so good! Gretchen was talking right to my soul about anxiety and comparison. I highly recommend taking a listen!
We made steak, potatoes, and green beans for dinner! I forgot to take a picture D:

After dinner, Kyle went back to studying while I got ready for bed. After I washed my face, I used this exfoliator. My skin has been doing SO MUCH BETTER lately, and that makes me so happy. I’ve been trying a lot of new products lately, and this one is a favorite right now. My main problem is the pores on my nose, and I am excited to see if this keeps helping.
I hope you’re all having a wonderful January so far!

Happy New Year, Miriam!
Because I am a nerd, I thought I’d send you my responses in bullet form.
First, Yay! for getting back to AM workouts! I honestly am useless until I get in my workout. Second, I love that you are as committed as I am to making your bed. I have to make my bed before I get into the shower because once I get out of the shower I like to see my bed made as it keeps my brain “tidy”. Also, I think you should consider checking social media while on your walks “only” that’s what I do and it helps cut down on mindless swiping. OR you can also consider messaging or calling friends during your walks?
What kind of content do you want to see from me this year?
– You should totally do house decorating posts as you totally seem to have it all sorted.
– Maybe share more about the supplements you use and how you combine them?
– Goals for 2021? Do you still use the Peloton App?
– Budgeting?
– Day in the Life Posts
If you are a part of the large pore gang, do you have any products that work well for you??
– I am of NO help here!
Tell me one thing you’re thankful for right now!
– I am thankful for my health and my home. 🙂
Thank you for all the great ideas! Seriously!
And I LOVE the idea of using some of my walks for social media. I am so guilty of mindless scrolling, and this is such a great solution for that.
I 100% feel what you’re saying about making your bed in the morning!
