Good morning, everybody! Yesterday was my second day working from home, and I thought I would take some extra pictures throughout the day to do a day in the life post. I feel like a lot of places are starting to see that it is possible for some areas of work to do a lot of their job from home, and I think that is awesome! I am such a homebody so I really enjoy it, but I am still going to go into the office a few days a week so I’m not at home TOO much.
When Kyle headed out for his early morning class, Chance and I drove to the park to get a run in. It was 30 degrees out, and that’s is the absolute best running weather in our opinion. Chance could go forever. We completed Week 4 Day 2 of Couch to 5k. Slowly but surely, we’re building our endurance back up again!

I started my coffee maker and jumped into the shower as soon as we got home to warm up while Chance devoured his breakfast. I set up my work station at the kitchen table for the morning and got to it. I brought Chance’s bed in the kitchen, and he promptly fell asleep.

I got hungry around 10 so I made a late breakfast/early lunch. I’ve said this before, but I am not a breakfast food person (crazy, I know). I prefer to eat lunch type foods for breakfast. I think it’s because I can’t handle a lot of sweet stuff in the morning, and the majority of breakfast foods out there are sweet. Anyways, I had a plate of veggies, pretzels, cheese, and turkey slices.
After a few hours, Chance and I moved to one of the front rooms to continue working/napping. I just saw that lampshade and have to go fix it because it is bugging me! I really want to paint that turquoise table to a more neutral color, but I am not sure what yet. I would like to do white, but it will take a lot of coats to cover that blue! When I moved out after college, I got a one bedroom apartment that I lived in alone, and it was a TOTAL girl pad. It was full of bright colors and super fun decorations. I loved it.
Once Kyle got home, we decided we wanted some chicken fingers from Sonic for dinner. I went to pick it up while Kyle got his stuff ready for his patients tomorrow. He has to make care plans for all his patients the night before he has clinicals. I don’t know everything that is involved because they are a lot more in depth than my nursing school ones, but he is basically mapping out everything he is going to do for his patients which is a LOT.

After dinner, I got back to Christmas decorating! I started it over the weekend, and today I did more outdoors. I really love this fall wreath I got at Hobby Lobby so I switched out the orange bow for white ribbon and red decorations. I love how it turned out! I am going to find some spring decorations for it when the time comes so I can just keep reusing it all year. Wreaths are expensive, but I got this one for 50% off! Also, if you don’t have a pine scented candle out yet, run don’t walk! The comfort that scent brings is indescribable.
I’m going to get some lights for those little trees, but I love how the rest of it turned out! It’s pretty simple, but it looks super cozy to me. I haven’t decided if I am going to hang actual Christmas lights outside this year, but this is enough for now!
Kyle’s brother’s gift came in yesterday so I wrapped it tonight. We are celebrating Christmas with Kyle’s family the day after Thanksgiving so we already have our gifts ready, and I am so excited! It’s going to be super fun, and I love being able to celebrate Christmas more than once. 🙂 Speaking of Christmas, I have done a lot of decorating so I am going to do a post all about it some time this week.
The last thing I did before heading upstairs to get ready for bed was unpack my Curology box that came today! I am still loving this skin care line, and I am so thankful I tried it. Every 2 months, my box comes to my front door containing my cleanser, moisturizer, treatment cream, and spot patches. It’s the best!
I hope you all had a great Monday. Mine was super productive, and that’s the best way to start the week to me.
