Hey everybody! I am sitting at our new kitchen table admiring the beautiful fall weather we’re having today. It has been in the 40-50s in the mornings and reaches about 70 in the afternoon, and I am loving it! I am sorry that I have been a little absent lately and didn’t get any sort of post out last week. Let’s catch up!
Kyle and I travelled back home to Indiana last weekend for a wedding, and it felt so good to be home for a little while. The wedding was beautiful, and we had a great time with friends we haven’t seen in way too long.
Monday
I was craving a matcha latte when I woke up on Monday so I made one and drank it while I was getting ready. Then I drank my greens before heading to work!

I was so insanely exhausted after our weekend so Monday was a comfy day at work. I know I am not that old, but staying up late a few nights in a row wipes me out for days.
I had a verb bar for breakfast and leftover greek food for lunch! There is a little greek restaurant down the road from us, and the owner makes incredible Shawarma. Also, this was my first time having the vanilla latte verb bar, and I am a big fan!
Chance and I headed out to walk a few miles when I came home. I love the look of leaves on the ground! I also found this new true crime podcast, and I love it! Warning, the two girls who host it don’t hold anything back when they talk about the rotten serial killers they cover. I think they’re right on, but I totally understand that the language won’t be appealing to some. 🙂
Tuesday
I worked on my bible study for a little bit while I drank my coffee before work. For breakfast, I had half a buffalo chicken sandwich and applesauce.

Sweater weather is the best weather. I love how my hair looks in this picture, but it’s not always what it looks like. I’m starting to grow it back out again, but we’ll see how long I can go without chopping it again!
Lunch was a turkey stick, siete chips, peppers, and the other half of my buffalo chicken sandwich.

Dinner was one of our favorite meals from Hello Fresh! We tried the chicken sausage and spinach ravioli last year, and now we pick it every time it’s on the menu. It is so good! And super easy to make.
Wednesday

I decided to change up my schedule at work so I go in at 8 instead of 7 so I can start working out before work again. Chance and I headed out on a run around 5:30, and it felt so good to have it done first thing!

I made a cup of coffee with a little protein powder in it to have while I got ready. It’s a great way to get in a protein boost early in the day. I used the Alaninu birthday cake protein powder, and it was delicious.
I was slacking on my steps the last few days so I got back to walking every hour at work, and I felt so much better throughout the day.
I had most of the same foods throughout the day at work, but I added a green tea citrus AHA for an afternoon pick me up. It has just the right amount of caffeine to keep me going but not keep me up all night. Dinner was the gluten free chicken nuggets from Applegate. I am still obsessed with them!
Thursday
I went to the gym before work for a little full body workout. I’m lucky to have a job that can be pretty flexible! I am happy that I am getting back to my normal morning routine. It work so well for me.
I ate my breakfast while I read my devotional at work. It was all about tithing and being good stewards of our money, and it encouraged me to get back to tithing once we find a church again. It’s truly so important, and I needed the reminder.
I know this is probably so boring, but I had the same lunch again. I know it’s repetitive, but it’s what works for me right now! I also had chicken nuggets again for dinner but forgot to take a picture.
Friday
Chance and I went on another run before work and then I worked on my bible study for a bit before getting ready and headed to work. I am super slow at this bible study, but I am really enjoying it so far!
I think I drank my greens every day this week, and my stomach did well all week! I really believe that they work. And yes, same breakfast and lunch!
Kyle was on campus all day but brought home amazing mexican food for dinner! We ate and watched The Frozen Ground before heading to bed. I cried at the end because it was such a beautiful tribute to the victims of a disgusting serial killer. If you’re into anything true crime, it’s a great movie!
The Weekend

I spent most of Saturday doing chores in the morning and then Kyle and I went to my brother and sister in law’s to babysit our niece. It was the best night, and she gives the best cuddles. On Sunday, Kyle studied on campus all day, and I got ready for the week and spent the afternoon with my family. I am so thankful to live so close to my siblings, and I don’t ever want to live in a different state than them ever again.

Last week I was able to fully trust God in some situations that I had been having difficulty relinquishing control over. Sometimes I run so far ahead of His plan for me and try and fix everything myself and I’ve learned that sometimes the answer is very simple and I just need to sit with that and accept the peace that comes with it!
I’m so glad she was able to get married before COVID!! Omg thank you for all the awesome podcast recommendations- I listen to a lot at work so I will have to try some of these! And I am so glad you were able to feel some peace about life. I totally get and relate to what you’re saying. It’s so hard to let go, but it’s so so good when we do!!
