Friday Favorites!

Good morning, everybody! I haven’t done a Friday Favorites post in a while so I made a list of the five things I don’t want to live without right now to share with you all. I hope you find something you like and feel free to share any of your favorite items, books, movies, shows, foods, etc.! Just click each title to go to the amazon or shop site I purchased them on. ( I do not get any money from any of these links, and all thoughts and opinions are my own!)

1. Paper Mate Profile Bold Colored Pens

I purchased these pens a few months ago to better organize my planners, and I absolutely love them. They don’t bleed through the pages or smear like other colored pens I’ve used. They make a bold statement and glide super smooth. And for less than $8 for a 12 pack, they’re an amazing deal! I use them for my planner, notebooks, bible, and journal, and they work well for all of my needs.

2. Hydrojug

Hydrojugs and sleeves

If you know me at all, you know I always have my HydroJug with me. I bought mine last year, and it has been one of the best purchases of my life! I already drink a lot of water so this saves me from filling up a water bottle 8+ times a day. For people who struggle with drinking water, this can help cheer you on and keep you accountable to drink more! All their bottles are BPA free and dishwasher safe. The straw is easy to clean because the top comes off, and I throw our sleeves in the washing machine to clean and then let them air dry. Kyle has the Volt bottle and White Camo sleeve, and I have the Blush bottle and Tie Dye sleeve. *Use code Miriamleigh10 for 10% all orders!

3. Capsacian Cream

Capsaicin pain block cream

This might seem a little random, but Kyle bought this for me to try a few weeks ago when I was trying to find alternative ways to help my migraines. I hold a lot of tension in my neck and shoulder muscles which always seems to get worse with my migraine attacks. Kyle has been putting this cream on my neck and shoulders every night or every other night for the last week, and I have seen a huge difference. It’s hard to tell if it is working as well as I think it is due to making a lot of diet changes as well, but I still think it has made a difference! When I put it on at night, I immediately feel a tingling/burning sensation in my muscles but it goes away within an hour. It’s not painful, but I do recommend starting off with a light amount and see how much you can tolerate/need. AND FOR HEAVEN’S SAKES, DO NOT GET IT IN YOUR EYES. I know this sounds like common sense, but I accidentally got it on my hands on the first night I used it and touched my eye later. It felt like I had poured an entire bottle of shampoo in my eye and then rubbed salt in it. It was the worst feeling ever, and I had no clue I had even gotten it on my hands in the first place. So all that to say, Kyle uses the rolling applicator to put it on my muscles, I let it dry for a few minutes, and put a shirt on that covers the whole area so that I won’t accidentally touch it or get it on my pillowcase. I’m sorry that was such a long explanation, but I don’t want anyone to experience the dumb accident I did!

4. Takeya Cold Brew Coffee Maker

Cold brew coffee maker

We LOVE cold brew coffee and finally decided to get a cold brew maker so we could make our own! I purchased this one on Amazon a few months ago and have used it every week since. You can fill the filter with any coffee grounds you want and then it screws into the quart size bottle of water to brew over night. This picture was taken right after I put it together and before I left it in the fridge to brew. I usually let it brew for at least 12 hours before I remove the filter. It makes a great cold brew and is a much cheaper alternative to store bought cold brew. It also fits perfectly in the door of our little fridge which is also a huge plus 🙂

5. Halluci Fuzzy Slippers

Kyle bought me these slippers for Christmas, and I now wear them anytime I am in the house. If you are looking for a warm, fuzzy, and cozy pair of slippers that also provide you with support, look no further! They’re less than $30 and have shown zero wear and tear even though I have worn them for hours every day for the last 3 months. I plan on buying them in every color!

I hope everyone is still doing well during this strange time, and that you find something to add to your quarantine online shopping list! Let me know some of your favorite recent buys by commenting below. 🙂
