Good morning and happy Monday! I had a great week and even better weekend, and I hope you did too! I definitely missed taking pictures of a few meals and events because I honestly just forgot and was trying to be in the moment a little more. With that being said, I still have a lot to share in my weekly recap!
I was up around 4AM to drink my greens and eat my verb bar before getting to the gym.
I did arms today followed by 30 floors on the stairmaster. My goal is to get to 90 this month!
I’m still loving my short hair! Last time I cut it short, I missed my long hair immediately. I am so over having long hair now!
I had some granola, a protein shake, and applesauce for breakfast once I got to work. For lunch, I had fruit, deli turkey, cauliflower crisps, and baby peppers.
It was so nice outside when I got home from work so we headed out for a long walk. It was 55 degrees and partly cloudy. Such a tease for awesome spring weather!
I had a verb bar and water on the way to Orange Theory this morning. I love the 5AM crew at OTF!
As soon as I got home from class, I made my smoothie and drank it while I got ready for work.
- 1 Cup Unsweetened Almondmilk
- 1 Cup Unsweetened Cold Brew
- 1 Frozan Banana
- 1 Scoop Vega Chocolate Protein Powder
- 1 Spoonful Chia Seeds
- 1/2 Spoonful Coconut Oil
The view on my way to work was wild. ( I was stopped, don’t worry). The temperature was supposed to drop all day and start snowing.
Lunch was a salad, turkey sandwich, kettle chips, and pickles. I love these kinds of lunches.
We baked chicken, cauliflower, carrots, and potatoes for dinner. This is a new favorite for sure in our books! It was from our Cook Once, Eat All Week cookbook.
I did yoga and some deeeeeep stretching in my bathrobe this morning. I was super comfy and felt so much better after I finished.
I had a super relaxing morning after my little yoga session. I had my smoothie while I watched The Hills. Does anybody else remember watching this show?! It’s on Hulu now, and I have been watching it from the beginning!
Lunch was a salad, broccoli, and chicken fingers. We ended up ordering Qdoba after the meal we cooked didn’t quite go as planned 😀
I had a slow start to this morning because I woke up with a migraine. Once I finally got up and felt better, I had my smoothie before heading to work.
Lunch was CHICK-FIL-A! It’s ridiculous how excited we get when they bring this for lunch.
Funny story of the week. I drove Kyle’s car to work because of the bad weather so I wasn’t used to looking for it when I left work. I went to his alleged car, unlocked it from the key fog, and climbed in. I looked around and realized it was definitely NOT his car. I jumped out, closed the door, and ran to Nicole’s car to tell her what just happened. Then I quickly found the right car and drove away. I was just waiting for someone to come running out and start yelling at me.
I woke up at 4:30 this morning to head back to the gym. I hit 60 floors today!! So excited and ready to keep working to my goal.
I had my favorite flavor (blueberry cobbler) of Oats Over Night for breakfast. They brought Lee’s Chicken for lunch.
When I came home, Kyle had made a reservation at Stone Creek so we headed out for a fancy date night!
Holy moly the food was amazing!!

Saturday and Sunday
We started our weekend with an early morning Orange Theory class together!
I made us a protein smoothie with frozen raspberries and bananas, almondmilk, and chia seeds. Kyle spent the rest of the morning working on school stuff, and I started our chores. I mixed a little protein powder in almondmilk and used that as protein powder. It was super yummy and much better for you than regular coffee creamer! I think it tasted better, too.
We met Jaycey for lunch at Pies and Pints and then went shopping for Kyle’s mom’s birthday gift. Both were major successes! It might be the best pizza I’ve ever had..
I ended up taking a nap when we got home and then we headed to dinner with Kyle’s parents, brother, and soon to be sister in law for his mom and brother’s birthdays. It was a great night!
We went to church on Sunday morning and heard a great lesson on truly loving those around you, even if they think, look, or act differently than you. It was just the thing I needed to hear and definitely helped put my attitude in check.
Here’s what I accomplished once we got home while Kyle wrote a paper:
- Meal prepped
- Cleaned bathrooms
- Three loads of laundry
- Ordered Kyle’s Valentine’s gift
- Changed sheets
- Wrote this post
- Packed gym bag
- Planned for the week
I had a ton to get done so I made a to do list and knocked each one out right after another! I felt so much better once I had everything done.
Kyle and I spent the rest of the night eating popcorn and watching Paranormal Activity. It’s even more creepy the second time.
