I love new years. I love fresh starts. I love looking back on the previous year and review what I loved, learn from my struggles, and think about what I can do to make this year even better. 2019 was a big year for me, and I’m excited to dig in and relive it. Let’s get started!
I learned how to fuel my body and not limit myself at the same time. I will never go back to the old me who counted calories and put ridiculous limits on my food intake. Carbs are not the devil, I need veggies and protein with every meal, and the less I limit my sweet intake, the less my body craves it. AND I drink at least a gallon of water every. single. day.
I took the leap and completed 5 months of Smile Direct Club. I have always been self conscious of the gaps in my teeth, and my new smile has given me so much confidence! I know that my worth is not in my looks, but I still think it is important to be comfortable in your own skin. This process was so easy, quick, and the people at SDC were so helpful the whole time.
I learned that I am a fan of much more than just running. I still love running, but I also love yoga, spin classes, lifting, and Orange Theory. All of those work outs have made me a better runner, and I love having more options to move my body.
Kyle and I ran the Mini Marathon together. This is my absolute favorite race because we did it together, the weather was perfect (cloudy and light rain showers), and it was Kyle’s very first race. Although it was FREEZING the moment we stopped running, I wouldn’t have changed a thing!

Our baby boy turned THREE YEARS OLD. He’s changed and brought so much joy to our lives. I can’t imagine life without him!

Kyle and I got married. Obviously this was the best part of my year. We had the most amazing day, and I absolutely loved planning everything. I am so thankful for all of the people who helped us celebrate being together forever.

We spent a week in St. Lucia doing absolutely nothing but celebrating us, eating food, and soaking in the sun. It was so much fun travelling and visiting a brand new place together.
We moved from an apartment to a house and are never going back! We’re still renting but being in a house is a total game changer. Our neighbors are incredibly sweet, and Chance loves his big, private backyard. This house has been an incredible blessing, and I pray we have the same luck in the future.

I went to my first Orange Theory Fitness class in November, and I am SO thankful that I took the leap. I love the community and the way I feel after I finish a work out. I have already seen so much progress, and I am so excited to continue this into 2020.

You were good to me, 2019. Here’s to 2020!
