Running, Amazing Weather, and FOOD POISONING!

Admire someone’s beauty without questioning your own.”

Unknown

Happy Monday, everybody! I am writing this while Kyle is watching football, and I am listening to Good Girls on my tablet. That show is hilarious, and I am so ready for season 2. I had an interesting week and was so thankful for the weekend! So here’s how it went…

Monday and Tuesday

I woke up around 1 in the morning on Monday because my stomach was KILLING ME. I’ll spare you the nasty details, but we’re pretty sure I had food poisoning from the breakfast I had on Sunday. I even had to call in to work until Wednesday. I thought for sure when I woke up on Tuesday, I would be okay but that was definitely not the case.

Chicken and noodle soup and crackers

I had this meal on repeat starting Monday night through Tuesday. Plus lots of water, sprite, and gatorade.

Star Wars on TV in living room

Before the wedding, we rewatched all of the Harry Potter movies over a few weeks. It takes us at least two nights after work to watch a movie because we go to bed early/fall asleep after watching more than an hour. Now we’re working through the Star Wars movies again. We watched the first one on Tuesday. That one is my all time favorite which apparently is crazy because Kyle said it is known as the worst one in the Star Wars community. It’s probably just because of my love for Liam Neeson. 😀

Wednesday

Kyle and I post run

I woke up feeling brand new! Kyle and I headed out for a little 2 mile run. That’s all I had in me after being so sick, but it made me feel even more human.

Breakfast smoothie

Then I had my breakfast smoothie! I left out the spinach because that tends to keep my digestive system regular, and I didn’t want to add any fuel to that fire quite yet haha

I kept lunch pretty bland today. Salad, carrots and hummus, pretzels, and a body armor to rehydrate. I tried to drink coffee because it sounded good, but I took one whiff, and it was a big no for some reason.

Ladybug painted rock

One of my friends at work has a daughter who paints these precious little ladybug rocks. She told her mom a few weeks ago that she wants to paint a bunch of them and sell them to raise money for our cancer patients. How freaking sweet is that!? I’ll start taking orders now 😉

Steak, french fries, and salad

I was super hungry when I came home so Kyle grilled steaks while I air fried french fries. I had zero problems eating this delicious meal and was super happy to have real food finally.

Kyle made us Moscow Mules and set up our cornhole set after dinner. We played for a good hour and a half, and it was so fun. We’re definitely going to do this more often! One of Kyle’s groomsman made us this awesome set as our wedding gift. Aren’t they awesome!?

Thursday

I think Kyle slept for a whole 5 minutes on Wednesday night for some reason so I did some work with my weights and booty band before work.

Breakfast smoothie

Then had my smoothie!

Turkey sandwich

Lunch was a turkey sandwich and salad. I was so glad they brought something that would be easy on my stomach 😀

When I am sick, my stomach takes a turn. I don’t know if it’s because my diet changes or my immune system is going crazy or because I was out of my routine on those days, but regardless, I decided to do a little self care to make myself feel better. I boiled a pot of water, turned off the stove, and steamed my face by putting a towel over my head and the pot. I stayed like that for about 10 minutes to open my pores. Then I washed my face and used my Aztec Healing Clay mask mixed with apple cider vinegar for 15 minutes followed by my moisturizer. My skin felt brand new.

Remember how I said we were going to lay off the wings? Maybe we’ll start next week 😀 We finished the first Star Wars and then headed to bed!

Friday

I woke up around 3 in the morning with a migraine so I took my imitrex and pushed my alarm back. I used to never get migraines in the middle of the night, but now it’s been when I get the majority of them. Not sure why!

Breakfast smoothie

When I woke up again, I felt much better. I felt even better after my smoothie.

Donut at work

One of our patient’s brought us all in donuts. How much better can a Friday get!?

Burger for lunch

Lunch was a burger bar. I took one bite, and something just did not settle right. I don’t know if I was just hypersensitive still or if there was legit something wrong, but I did not push it and threw the rest away. I was still full from the ginormous donut also.

Kyle and I went out for a date night when he got home from work. I’m glad I didn’t waste my stomach on that burger because my fajitas was much more worth it 🙂

Chance with Chewy box

We came home to Chance’s Chewy box! If you have pets, I highly recommend buying all of you supplies through Chewy. Our last package got sent to our old address, and when Kyle went to our old apartment office to see if it was there, it wasn’t so the people at Chewy sent us a whole new package for free and we had it within 2 days! They have pretty much everything plus stuff I can’t find in the store. There prices are also cheaper. We have Chance’s food and greenies automatically sent every 4 weeks. I can’t tell you how many late night trips I used to make to the store because I didn’t realize how low on food I was. Now we never run out!

Saturday

Chocolate and Peanut Butter Cheerios

I had a bowl of Chocolate and Peanut Butter Cheerios with my coffee before we headed out on our walk/run.

We ran the first mile and then I had to walk. I’m still not at 100% I guess. I can’t explain the feeling, but I just couldn’t run any further so we walked another 3.5 miles so we could still be out doing something. Even though I couldn’t run as long as I wanted to, I was so glad we kept walking for a while. It was beautiful outside!

We ran inside to get ready and headed to Chili’s for lunch! We were so hungry and felt so much better after eating allll the food. Then we headed to Anderson to take my sweet niece and nephew to an apple orchard!

We had so much fun! We went on a hay ride, picked out pumpkins, ate honey sticks and apple donuts, and drank apple cider slushies. The weather was amazing, and I was so happy to be able to take my niece and nephew there.

Puppy at apple orchard

Also there was this huge, happy, sweet puppers there who just watched everybody have fun. I know he just loves his life on his huge farm with tons of people coming to see him every day.

We picked up Pizza King for dinner and watched the kiddos play in my parents backyard for a while before heading home for the evening.

Sunday

Apple Cinnamon donut

APPLE DONUTS! We bought a dozen from the orchard yesterday, and they’re going to last 2.5 seconds. They are amazing. Peek the dog nose creeping up in the background.

We did laundry, went on a walk, watched football, and got ready for the week. After allllll the football games, we’re going to play some cornhole and then watch the second Star Wars.

Have an awesome week and answer the questions below if you want! 🙂 I love hearing from you.

  1. Have you been to a pumpkin patch/apple orchard yet?
  2. What is your favorite fall activity? I’ll add it to my to do list!
  3. Are you an avid football watcher or do you use that time to read/do other things like I do? 😀

We are going to the pumpkin patch mid October. I love watching the leaves change, driving around looking at Halloween decorations, trick or treating with the kids, and buying everything pumpkin flavored at the grocery store. Last night we made some pumpkin cookies and I’ve been making the pumpkin cinnamon rolls. We watch a lot of football because we do fantasy football so we have to keep up with all the teams but I also read lot or clean while it’s on because I can just look up or stop when something exciting happens 😊

All of those things sound so much fun! I usually drive around and look at Christmas decorations, but I’ll have to do the same with Halloween decorations this year since we’re in an actual neighborhood! I wish I knew enough to do fantasy football because then maybe I would be more invested in the games! Maybe next year.. 🙂
