Happy Monday, everybody! I hope you’re ready to own your week and hopefully do something you love 🙂 I am currently “watching football” and getting my recap done! We’ve had a fun weekend after a pretty lowkey week so here is what it looked like! 🙂


Early morning work out

We woke up at 4:45 to get our Insanity work out in before work. We had plans to work out every day this week, but this was one of the only “intense” work outs we got in! I was a little bummed about it because I let myself sleep in a couple of times, but I just told myself that it happens sometimes and I just need to keep trying. I’m trying to exercise every day in order to be healthy in all aspects, not to say that I did it or to look a specific way and I have to remind myself of that sometimes!

Thank you cards

I mailed out our thank you cards today!! I love writing cards, but man, these took me a while. I wanted to make them all personal, but I could only do a handful at a time so I wouldn’t rush through them. This photo only shows half of them.

Chips, salsa, queso, pico, chicken

Lunch was Qdoba! I’ve kind of fallen off the healthy eating train lately because all of our meals at work lately have been like this. That shouldn’t be an excuse, but it has made me realize I need to start bring a lunch a few times during the week so that I have something else to eat when the lunch that is brought is not something that will fuel my body. I don’t think it is “bad” to eat this kind of food one bit, but I do think it needs to be in moderation because it doesn’t make me feel good and doesn’t help me live my best life 😀

We celebrated all weekend, but I couldn’t let Kyle’s actual birthday go by without doing something so we went to BJ’s for dinner. Kyle is a professional nacho eater so we got the loaded nachos as an appetizer, and I got wings for dinner. I had about half of them and took the rest home. Think I am a wing fanatic?

I woke up around 3AM with an awful migraine so I took my Imitrex and changed my alarm to sleep in so my medicine would work fully. I woke up and felt a million times better. I’ve got migraines since I was about 5 years old, but I still get so stressed out when I get one before work. I hate calling off and pretty much refuse to for migraines. I always think I can work through it but usually end up getting super sick. I get stressed because I worry my medicine isn’t going to work, and I am going to suffer all day. Usually that makes my headache even worse which is counterproductive, so I try to relax and just go back to sleep. Prayer helps a lot too. Jesus has brought me through a lot of migraines in 20 years.

I usually don’t feel like eating after a migraine and taking my medicine, but I knew I needed to so I made my smoothie and felt even better after eating it.

This is another meal when I wished I had brought something from home. Disclaimer*** We are VERY lucky at work, and I am not complaining about the food that people bring in for us. This is merely my opinion on how things affect my health. I don’t want anyone to think I am ungrateful because I know how good we have it! Most of the time, they bring some sort of salad or wrap or something like that which I really enjoy. Anyways, I am definitely going to stay away from Lee’s from now on because I felt so bloated and “draggy” after I ate this.

Moscow Mule

Kyle had a Moscow Mule ready for me when I got home. Work was nuts so I gladly took it! I can handle about a drop of liquor in mine so it’s a lot of lime juice 😀

Homemade pizzas for dinner! We watched some criminal minds and then headed to bed to listen to Harry Potter.


Weight lifting in the morning

I actually woke up on time this morning! Woo! I did work with my weights and booty bands for about 30 minutes before getting ready for work.

Beauty spa

After work, I headed to Heather Brown Face and Body Studio in Fishers for my wax and facial! The girls there are SO sweet and know what they’re doing. I trust all of the girls I’ve met there, and they’re so knowledgeable about the services they provide. I started getting dermaplanes with my facials, and I AM OBSESSED. It helps my skin care products work so much better and my skin is so smooth. They are also the ones who switched me to Image skin care products, and they have helped my skin so much. I’m going to be doing a post soon all about my skin care because I’ve had my share of skin issues, and I’ll include all the products I use. A lot of them are Image products! I felt so good after my facial, and I am always happy to have my wax over with. 😀

BLTs, Salad, Air Fried Fries

BLTs with turkey bacon, salads, and air fried french fries for dinner! This has been one of our go to meals lately, and we are not sick of it yet. I don’t know why it took me so long to start making BLTs, but I’m glad we started! They’re so good 🙂 I can eat tomatoes like apples. (Weird, I know)


I did this yoga routine and then used my weights to work on my arms for a little while before getting ready for work. For a while, running was the only workout I did so a lot of my other muscles were lacking. My arms included! I had a little bit of strength from pumping when I had some hard miles, but mostly, I had no upper arm strength. I’m working to fix that a lot lately!

Lunch was Chick-fil-a. Their broccoli and kale salad is one of my absolute favorites!! I need to find the recipe for it and make it in bulk because it’s that good. I do not need to find there recipe for their chocolate chip cookies though because they are TOO good. 😀

Boneless wing night at Bdubs so you know what that means!! I need to go on a wing detox 😀 But seriously, we’ve made this a thing on Thursdays because they’re half price, but we need to start doing it like once a month or something because it’s been a little much 😀

I didn’t even mean to sleep in this time, but I must have hit snooze like 10 times. I hate that because the sleep I get in between snoozes is crap so it’s a lose lose situation. I just can’t realize that when I’m all warm and cozy in bed. 😀

I had an Italian BMT from Subway for lunch. It had spinach, pickles, tomatoes, and mustard. I worked in Radiation today so one of the office girls went to pick up all of our sandwiches which was super sweet. I forgot how yummy their flatbreads are!

Is it too early to wear this shirt? No? Good. Sadly, I can’t find the link for this shirt on amazon anymore, but there are some that look like it! If I find it again, I’ll share it! I ordered a men’s small because I don’t like my tshirts tight, and I don’t like how short the sleeves are on women’s shirts!

Kyle and I went to see IT 2 at Flix Brewhouse after he got home from work. Pizza and fried pickles are a pretty great combo for a night at the movies. I love scary movies, but I will NOT be seeing this movie again. A lot of it was good, but it was about 3 hours long, had a million flashbacks to the first movie, and had some gross, unnecessary scenes. Some parts were SUPER funny though, and I did enjoy a lot of it. You’ll just have to decide for yourself because I know I sound super wishy-washy. We got home after 1AM and went straight to bed.

Post from Friday: Friday Favorites!


I had chocolate peanut butter cheerios and orange slices for breakfast before heading to the DMV to get my new license with my new last name! 🙂 We were scared we were going to be there forever because it was a Saturday, but we were in and out in about 25 minutes.

We went to every drive thru before going to Arby’s because it was the only one not 20 cars deep. I want to be sick thinking about all the fried food we ate this week. We’re definitely going to eat less of it and save it for when we go out/special occasions because I do not want it to become our normal, and it makes me feel like poop.

Me and Kyle at Punch Bowl Social

Around 5, we headed to Downtown Indianapolis for one of our friend’s birthdays! We had dinner at Kilroy’s and then headed to Punch Bowl Social to play games and bowl. Punch Bowl is one of my favorite places to go out to because it’s not a typical bar. They have games, bowling, karaoke, etc. It’s super clean and stupid stuff doesn’t usually go on there.

I forgot to bring socks so I am NOT proud to say that Kyle paid $7 for a pair of socks for me. I couldn’t wear those shoes without socks.. I just couldn’t. Also Kyle left us all in the dust. I don’t know why he is so good at bowling, but I was just happy to not get gutter balls every single time. 😀

I sipped on one Moscow Mule for the whole night- Punch Bowl makes an amazing one! Around 10:00, we headed back to Emylee and Kali’s to play What Do You Meme?, and then Kyle and I headed home around midnight. It’s so funny how we used to be able to stay out until 4 in the morning, but now we’re all ready for bed at 9. I love it 😀


We woke up and met everybody for breakfast at Perkin’s. I had coffee, french toast, and fruit. Kyle ate my bacon and eggs. One of our friends, Brandon, is doing intermittent fasting, and it BLOWS MY MIND. He works all day and only eats from 5-11PM. Isn’t that nuts?! I don’t know how he does it. He says he feels great, but I am skeptical 😀

Kyle and I are putting a few things together for our kitchen in order to have some more space, watching football, and then going for a walk this evening. I hope you all had a great weekend and are ready for a great week! Questions for you are below! 🙂

    I like to get up at 5am which is an hour and a half before I wake everyone else up. I like the quiet time to watch a little tv, drink coffee, and finish up laundry or whatever. I love going to bed early! I usually trick myself and set my alarms for way before I have to be up, so then I can feel like I’m snoozing a bunch but really I’m right on time lol! One thing I miss about the clinic is our catered lunches that the drug reps brought! They were always so great, but it’s definitely easy eat unhealthy when you’re not in control of what you eat each day, and it’s so hard to pass up all the treats they bring! But it’s also hard to feel yucky the rest of the day because of what you ate! I’ve been there!! We get donuts pretty frequently now at my job and they are so hard to pass up.

      You totally get it!! I’m totally split both ways but won’t ever complain about free meals. 😂 I love my mornings also. I thinks it’s the best time to get things done!
