Friday Favorites!

I simply remember my favorite things, and then I don’t feel so bad.

The Sound of Music

Happy Friday, everybody! We made it to the weekend! I hope you all have an awesome weekend planned- whether that’s full of fun activities or full of relaxation. Here is my list of some of my current favorite things and podcasts this week 🙂 Some affiliate links included! I hope you find something you love!

1.Weighted Blanket

I’ll be for real, I was a bit skeptical when I first heard about these. I didn’t understand how a heavy blanket would help with anxiety and stress….. BUT IT DOES!! Kyle got me one for my birthday, and I have used it every day since. Everything I have researched says that the extra weight of the blanket helps your brain release more serotonin which in turns makes you happier and less anxious. My results definitely back up that research. My anxiety definitely spikes in the evenings so I like to have it on at night as much as I can. I’m also super claustrophobic so I was worried I would feel trapped, but I don’t one bit. I have had so much luck with this blanket, and I hope you do to!

2. Cell Phone Stand

I’ve been working on my blog more and more, and this stand helps a ton as I scroll through my phone looking at pictures while using my computer. It has a hole so it can be charging while it sits perfectly at eye level on my desk, and it comes in multiple different colors. I chose rose gold and love it 🙂

3. Acne Patches

These little patches have saved my skin on more than one occasion (pun intended). When I have a bad acne spot, I place one patch on top of it and leave it over night. In the morning, I can literally see all the gunk on the patch when I pull it off. It calms the spot down and removes the dirt with all natural ingredients. The package comes with sizes ranging from small to large to cover everything from cystic acne to blackheads.

4. The Happy Hour with Jamie Ivey podacast # 258 with Emily Maynard

I have been listening to this podcast for years. It’s the first podcast I ever started listening to so it’s so fun and crazy to see that Jamie is almost to number 300! Anyways, I loved this episode! It talks about how Emily was a contestant on The Bachelor and was The Bachelorette and how she had to work through those break ups so publicly. She also talks about how her faith has grown through the years and how she finally found love with a man who took in her daughter as his own. I just love how this episode shows that God can pull us through heartbreak after heartbreak and always has something wonderful in store for us, even if we can’t see it at the time.

5. PEDICURES

I am all about self care and pedicures are one of my top ways of doing that. I go every month because it makes me feel good about myself and helps me relax. Your thing doesn’t have to be pedicures (although I highly recommend them), but I highly encourage you to find something that brings you joy, makes you feel good, and helps you relax! My mom has been going with me lately which makes it even better 🙂

Have an awesome weekend!

It was a pretty low key weekend for me (just how I like it) … I got my nails done, I always like to have my finger nails done as it makes me feel better, did some grocery shopping, and then today I purchased myself a very nice gift today from Tiffany’s (and I’m in LOVE)!!! Now I am hoping that sunday doesn’t end too quickly! Any big plans for the coming week??

Ah I love it!! I am the same way about my nails. Why does it makes us feel so much better!? Oh my gosh I am so excited for you and your Tiffany’s gift!! Cherish it forever 😀 Ring, bracelet, necklace or earrings?! And Kyle and I are going to dinner tonight to celebrate his birthday and then I have a facial on Wednesday! Nothing too crazy. Any big plans for you, Lindsay!?

I bought myself some diamond earrings and I am in LOVE so worth it! I am on a shoestring budget for a while now though! Haha! Ooh … where are you going for dinner? Do you have a favorite place to go out for dinner? Does Kyle have a favorite place?

      • Miriam Leigh says:

But hey, they’ll last forever and you’ll love them forever!! That’s so exciting. And it’s even better that you bought them yourself. And we went to BJ’s Brewhouse! Everything they have is soooo good, and his parents gave us a gift card. Double win. One of our favorites is a little pub called Murphy’s in Noblesville, close to our house. They have the best pretzels. Where is your go to place?!
