Hey everybody! I hope you all had a love filled Easter. How amazing is it that we have someone who loves us so much that He’d go through so much torture just to show His love to us and let us live our lives? It was definitely the reminder I needed.
My Easter morning started with breakfast before a run.
Chocolate and peanut butter cheerios, a banana, and coffee.
Chance and I headed out and finished 12 miles. There were definitely moments that I didn’t think I could keep going BUT I kept saying out loud things like “I can do this” and “You’ve been through worse than this” and it did the trick! I’m working every day trying to be more positive about myself, and this was super helpful.
I started with long sleeves on and that lasted for about 1.1 miles. The sun came out full force, and it got HOT. But that’s what I’ve been asking for, isn’t it?! 😂
After my run, I hurried home and got cleaned up. We then packed up Chance and headed to Kyle’s parents for Easter lunch. We had amazing food, sat outside, and had a wonderful time together. (Kyle and I go to the church services on Saturday evenings if you were wondering why we didn’t go today).
This morning came bright and early! I had my smoothie for breakfast to start the week right.
It was a weirdly slow day (I can say that now because the day is over and it won’t jinx us haha).
Lunch was delicious! After lunch, I got to go home because we didn’t have many patients left! It was fun to surprise Kyle and Chance 🙂
Chance and I headed out for a 3 mile walk/run. I was a little stiff/achey after yesterday, but other than that, I’m still feeling good! Chance on the other hand was struggling haha but he made it!
Kyle and I then ventured to Hamilton Town Center (an outdoor mall close to us) for Qdoba. Then we walked around for a while because it was so nice outside. We stopped at Dick’s to look at new insoles for my shoes. Does anybody have any recommendations? We didn’t find anything. I’m just looking for a little extra cushion/shock absorbency/ anything good! Let me know!
We spent the rest of the evening cleaning and finishing some wedding odds and ends. Now we’re watching Criminal Minds and about to head to bed.
I hope you all have a great night! Please leave me your answers to my questions below 🙂
1. How did you spend your Easter?
2. What are you reading right now? I’m looking for a new book after I finish Sharp Objects!
3. Drop a 🌸 if you’re reading this post 🙂
