Hey everybody! Chance and I just got back from a long walk in the sun (and wind) which felt AMAZING! I think springtime is here to stay. *knock on wood* I had a great week (minus a few hiccups) so here’s the recap!
I had my breakfast smoothie on Monday morning before heading to work.
Lunch was a salad, pizza, and wings.
Chance and I then headed out for a 2.5 mile run after work. Real talk, this was the hardest run I’ve had in a long time. It’s amazing how much better my runs are on fresh legs like when I run first thing in the morning. I guess these runs are good for my mental game too!
Dinner was chicken, broccoli, and potatoes.
Then we relaxed and watched Criminal Minds while Chance watched our plates.
I was off on Tuesday so I was up early to head to my OBGYN for my annual. Everything went well 🙂

I had a bit of time before heading to my dress fitting (AH!) so I stopped at Starbucks. I got a strawberry green tea and a bag of salt and vinegar chips. Then I headed to my fitting! She had me in and out in about 15 minutes. I love my dress more and more every time I see it.

Then the sad part! My car died on my way home from my fitting. I called Kyle and he took care of the rest of it. I’m very thankful that we were both off of work today, and that Kyle was only about 5 minutes away. I’ve never had anything like this happen so it was a little freaky! She’s all fixed now PTL!

Then after the car drama, we were starving. Chilis was calling our names! We started with side salads.

Then I had my favorite honey chipotle chicken tenders, corn, and fries. I felt much better after this. Ha!
Once we got home, we just relaxed on the couch for a bit since our afternoon didn’t quite go as planned. We watched Criminal Minds and did a whole lot of nothing.

Then we headed out on a walk. Kyle stopped to work on some training with Chance, and I snapped a picture right in the middle of a puppy yawn. Ha! It looks like he’s screaming.

Before heading to bed, I finished my leftovers with some raspberries.

Wednesday morning started with my smoothie. It’s always hard to go back to work after a day off.. haha

Lunch was pizza and salad! We’ve been having this a lot lately, and I am NOT even mad about it.
Since my car broke down, Kyle had to take me to and from work today. Once again, I’m very lucky that he was off today too! After he picked me up, we went to pick up dinner before heading to premarital counseling.

I had an unwich with turkey, tomatoes, avocado, pickles, and mustard and salt and vinegar chips.
Premarital counseling was awesome like always! We’re very thankful to have found Abby. We all click really well, and she is super good at opening up conversations for us and helping us see even more into each other’s views. Message me if you live in the area and want their information! I highly recommend her.
Then we picked up my car before heading home!

Breakfast smoothie again on Thursday!

Lunch was different today! The cold cut sandwich and broccoli salad was a nice switch and was actually super yummy. I don’t know where it was from, but I would definitely go there in real life!
After work, I met my mom to do some wedding shopping. We went to Hobby Lobby and got a ton of decorations! Everything we wanted was 50% off so it was the perfect time to go. I’ll share pictures of all of it in a big wedding post later!

Then we went to Pizza King to share a Hawaiian pizza for dinner!

Smoothie on Friday!

Okay funny story… the place that was supposed to bring our lunch lost the order so the drug rep order Pizza King instead! haha speaking my language for sure.

After work, Chance and I headed out for a long walk before Kyle came home from work.

I have been soaking up these walks lately because it has been far too long since we’ve been able to actually enjoy a walk outside. The wind is still a little chilly, but I will still take it compared to the winter we had! My mood has been so much better since I’ve been able to be in the sun more.

Kyle really wanted calzones for dinner so it was just a pizza filled week for me! (Once again, no complaints). I also made a Caesar salad.
Then we headed to bed early because we were both exhausted.

Before my run on Saturday, I had Chocolate and Peanut Butter Cheerios and a banana. OMG you guys these cheerios are addicting!! Try them NOW!

Chance and I ran 10 miles! I listened to a few episodes of Crime Junkies podcast and it definitely kept me entertained (and looking over my shoulder).
I hurried home to get cleaned up because we were meeting Shaylynn for lunch at Aspen Creek.
I got a steak, fries, and a Caesar salad because I was starving!
After lunch, Kyle and I went to the grocery store to pick up our food for the week.
Then we went to church! Excuse our squinty eyes. The sun was out all day! ❤️
Kyle made tacos for dinner, but I still wasn’t super hungry so I just munched on some chips and guac before bed 🙂
On Sunday, Chance and I headed out to run 4 miles. About 1 mile in, we found a dog who was lost. We stopped and called Kyle. Kyle got there and put him on a leash. We walked for a bit and found his owner! Yay! Little Tanner is back home. Chance and I finished our 4 miles uninterrupted.

What running dreams are made of. Donuts on Sunday mornings is our new tradition!
After I stretched out and got cleaned up, we headed to my parents house to see my dad for a bit. My mom is out of town so we spent some one on one time with him, and it was super nice.

We picked up a thin crust pepperoni pizza from Papa Murphy’s and brought a salad from home.

Kyle and my dad then headed out to look over my car. They’re very protective and had a hard time letting someone else work on it on Tuesday. They fixed a few things and cleaned out something (i have no idea what) haha and she’s good to go for a while! I’m very lucky to have people who have the knowledge to take care of cars because I do NOT.

After back to back runs and rough housing with grandpa, Chance crashed in the car and once we got home. It takes a lot to wear him out, but once we do, he’s done!
We spent the rest of the evening finishing laundry and relaxing in preparation for a new week.
I hope you all have a great week! Thanks for reading my recap!!
Any running plans this week?
Do you take care of your car or do you have someone who always does it for you like I do?
Does the weather affect your mood?
I am fortunate to have a pretty new car … which I paid off the loan for about 2 years ago and will NOT be buying a NEW Car again anytime soon … but my dad is my go to for car related questions BUT he generally just has me take my car to the dealership. We LOVE the dealership where I bought my car so I feel safe taking it to the dealership. Do you have a newer car or is it one you’ve had for quite a few years? Have you had car issues before … are you going to have to start looking for a new one?
Oh that’s great!! Not having a car payment is amazing. And it’s super nice that the dealership can take care of it! I’ve had my car for a long time, and my dad had it before me! I’m planning on driving it until it officially dies but Kyle is wanting to look for a new one before that happens haha 😂
