Good morning and happy Sunday, Friends! I hope you’re all having a great weekend so far. This recap will be short and sweet because I was feeling pretty under the weather all week so I used it as a rest week and am feeling much better now!
My usual protein smoothie for breakfast on Monday.
Lunch was awesome! I had a big salad with chicken, grilled zucchini, tomatoes, and broccoli and wild rice.
Followed by a chocolate chip cookie 🙂
It was Kyle’s brother’s birthday so Chance made him a birthday card after I got home from work. He’s obviously upset that he couldn’t give it to him in person…
Dinner was baked chicken, potatoes, and broccoli! (All on a sheet pan with olive oil, italian seasoning, and garlic salt and baked it at 400 for about 30 minutes.)

Neither Chance or Kyle were ready to get up this morning… haha
Lunch was Fazoli’s. But instead of the usual, they brought these cute little boxes with different types of sandwiches and chips or salad. I had the turkey club on wheat bread with a side salad.
After work, Kyle made tacos! I also made a side salad. My taco had guacamole and pico on it.
Wednesday morning.. you guessed it!
Lunch was chick fil a! I absolutely love their broccoli and kale salad. I think I can make it at home, and I need to try!
At work, my manager asked me if I wanted to be flexed on Thursday because, for some reason, we didn’t have a ton of patients coming in. This rarely happens so I said YES because Kyle was off to! I was so excited to tell him. We were so pumped to have a random day off together! We decided to go to Blind Owl Brewery with some friends from his work.
I had the Bleu Cobb Salad (with no egg), and it was amazing! We also had pretzels as an appetizer for the table. We had a great night, and it was fun knowing we didn’t have to go to work the next day (adulting)!
This is the only picture I took on Thursday! Kyle went out early and got donuts. He also bought me a beautiful, huge orchid (my favorite). We spent the rest of the day relaxing and just being together, and it was AWESOME!

Lunch was super random and a TON of food. Ribs, pizza, and green beans. We were all in a food coma for the rest of the day at work.
After work, I went home and took some meds because my head was killing me. I woke up feeling much better and spent some time with Kyle before heading to bed for the night.
I had a Kashi cinnamon gluten free waffle and banana for breakfast on Saturday before my run.
I put on two top layers, leggings, a hat, and gloves and Chance and I headed out on our run. It was about 23 degrees out and windy. Since we didn’t run all week, we went 3 miles. I felt great and could have kept going but decided to keep it easy. I listened to I’ll Have Another with Lindsey Hein podcast #65 with Janae Baron. Janae is The Hungry Runner Girl who I can’t get enough of! She’s awesome!
I headed home and hurried to get ready because we were getting HANGRY.
We stopped at Chili’s for lunch and ate until we were stuffed. Their honey chipotle chicken crispers are the BEST!
Then we went to the grocery store to get our food for the week plus all of the ingredients we needed to bake this cake.
We went and met Kyle’s parents and brother for dinner for his mom and brother’s birthdays. We went to Maxine’s Chicken and Waffles, and it was amazing!
I had a grilled chicken salad with honey mustard. Kyle got the chicken and waffles and absolutely loved it. I think that’s hilarious, but they’re obviously onto something because the place was packed and literally everyone ordered that.
Then we headed back to Tyler’s house and had the cake and opened presents! The cake was a hit! Yay!I definitely recommend it. If I can make it, anyone can!
Kyle and I are heading to church in a bit and then will relax for the day. I hope you all get rested up for the week ahead and have an amazing Sunday 🙂
