Happy Tuesday everybody! I hope everyone had a joy filled weekend and is ready to take on the week! Kyle and I had a busy weekend but it was full of family, so it was worth it! Let’s take it back to Monday..
My morning breakfast smoothie to start the day.
Lunch was salad and baked spaghetti.
Followed by an afternoon coffee and half a chocolate chip cookie 😁
Once I got home, I took Chance for a walk and made dinner.
Baked chicken, potatoes, and broccoli! This has become a staple in our home. It’s so easy, filling, and yummy! I season all of it with olive oil and Italian seasoning and bake it at 400 for about 30 minutes.
Tuesday started the same way 🙂
Lunch was salad with a super yummy pasta dish. It had pasta, chicken, mushrooms, broccoli, and tomatoes.
I went home and laid down for a few hours after taking my headache medicine. When I woke up, I stuck a pizza in the oven and made a salad for dinner.
After I ate, I got ready for bed and headed back to sleep.
Just like clockwork… breakfast smoothie again! I woke up feeling MUCH better.
Lunch was AWESOME! I made a taco salad with lettuce, grilled veggies, and guacamole and had chips on the side. I could probably eat this for every meal.
For dinner, Kyle baked salmon, potatoes, and broccoli! We make this about the same way as we do the chicken except the salmon comes seasoned and it usually doesn’t take quite as long. While Kyle was making this, I was vacuuming up a million pine needles because we finally got rid of our Christmas tree… 😂😂😂
Breakfast smoothie before work on Thursday…
Lunch was a salad, chicken, corn, and macaroni! I went back for my carbs because I was determined to run in the rain and snow tonight because I missed on Tuesday.
We geared up and headed out for 3.5 miles in the rain/snow! If anything, it made us run faster and nobody else was out to distract Chance so it was a good run! I’ve been running with these lights which are super helpful at keeping Chance and I visible. That’s SO IMPORTANT! I wear one on my shirt and put one on his collar. They stay in place perfectly too.
We had chicken, broccoli, and potatoes for dinner again 🙂
Breakfast smoothie on Friday!!
Lunch was salad and chicken noodle soup from Panera! This hit the spot due to all the rain and snow we’ve been having!
When I got home, I worked with my home weights and resistance bands for a little total body work out.
Then followed up with this mask mixed with apple cider vinegar. Hands down my favorite mask. It’s cheap and works wonders on my acne, scars, and enlarged pores!
Dinner was pasta and green beans! We’re having pasta every Friday night to help carb load before my longer runs on Saturday morning 🙂
Kashi gluten free cinnamon waffle and banana for breakfast before my run!
Chance and I bundled up and ran 7 miles in 12 degrees, but it was sunny so it actually felt pretty good! I wore 3 layers, 2 pairs of leggings, gloves, my hat, 2 pairs of socks, and had hand warmers in my gloves that Kyle got me as a stocking stuffer and felt great! So much better than the treadmill!
After I ran, I got cleaned up and took Kyle for his Valentine’s Day gift! I took him to this cute, old fashioned barbershop close to my apartment for the works. He said he loved it! I highly recommend V’s Barbershop if you’re in the Fishers area! 🙂
Then we met my parents, brother, sister in law, and nana at Chuy’s for lunch! I love it when my siblings make surprise visits. We got to spend the whole afternoon together. We went to a couple of shops looking at wedding stuff and just catching up. It was wonderful.
We, of course, had to stop at the little coffee shop in downtown Noblesville. I got a chai tea latte with almondmilk.
We were so stuffed from lunch so Kyle and I shared a sandwich late in the evening while finishing The Ted Bundy Files (TERRIFYING).
On Sunday morning, my brother and sister in law wanted to have breakfast at Eva’s before heading home so we obviously obliged. I always get their strawberry french toast and it never disappoints 😍😍😍 my dad said I am developing “runger” I think that’s accurate. I love it!
Kyle and I then went to the gym for a while. I walked on the treadmill at an incline for a few miles and then did squats and lunges. I wanted to do arms, but Kyle said I really need to rest my arm because my tennis elbow is in full swing from running. I run like my dad does so he told me to proactively run with my thumbs turned up and that should fix it. (He experienced the same problem.) I’m also wearing this brace, and it helps a ton!
Then we headed to the Aldi to pick up our food for the weak.
Lunch/dinner was pizza!
Followed by the rest of my Reese’s blizzard from last night. 😁😁😁
Then I made us popcorn and had an orange while we watched Fyre. I must live under a rock because I had no clue about the Fyre Festival, but I feel so terrible for the people who lived on the island and never got paid for all the work they did! That’s so terrible.
I hope you all have a fantastic week!
Questions for you! Respond below 🙂
1. Would you rather run in the cold and snow or on the treadmill?! Why?
2. What’s a meal you have constantly that’s a staple in your home?
3. Have you experienced tennis elbow?!
Umm … when I saw that you had left over blizzard, my jaw dropped. I have NEVER been able to make a blizzard last past one sitting. 😉
We constantly have steamed broccoli, steamed carrots, toasted sandwiches (different types of meats/veggies/”fried”eggs), and chips/pretzels with dips … totally an easy and QUICK meal that is just so yummy!
I’d always rather run in the warmth because I have terrible reynaud’s and I lose feeling in my hands if its too cold and then I start to feel sick! 🙁
Hahaha girl that was a rarity!! Mine usually lasts maybe 5 minutes. Ice cream is my fave.
Those all sounds so good! Quick and yummy meals are the best.
And oh my gosh enough said! My nana has had reynaud’s since she was young, and she can’t be out in the cold for long or the same thing happens to her!
Have a great week, Lindsay! Thanks for responding!
