Happy Friday Everybody! I am so thankful that it is finally the weekend. Work was soooo busy this week, and I am so exhausted! I’m taking this recap wayyyy back because I didn’t get a chance to post last week (oops). Anyways! Here’s what the last week and a half looked like 🙂
One of the things I want to do better at this year is going to more classes at our gym. They have so many good ones, and it is so silly to pay for a membership and not use it!

Last Wednesday, I went to yoga. My favorite yoga class at my gym is Surrender. It’s an hour of long, deep stretches. It’s so incredibly relaxing, and it feels so good. I am definitely making it a priority this year because it’s already helped me so much! I look forward to it every week. I also love that it’s in the middle of the week. It’s so perfect. It’s also really helping me since I’m upping my running miles every week now.

After yoga, I made dinner for Kyle and I. I baked chicken, asparagus, and carrots. I put them on one baking sheet and drizzled olive oil, italian seasoning, and sea salt on top. Then baked them for 25-30 minutes at 425. I took the veggies out a little early and baked the chicken until it wasn’t pink anymore. It turned out super yummy! Plus it was super easy.

Chance and I woke up around 5 to run 3 miles before work on Thursday. PS I am still LOVING my Brooks Launch 5s. I’ve been running with them for about a month and highly recommend them. Definitely my favorite running shoe I’ve come across so far! Then I had my protein smoothie for breakfast before showering and heading to work!

Lunch was chicken tenders, cole slaw, and mashed potatoes. I felt so blah afterwards so this is one of those days that I wish I had brought something for lunch from home (no complaints though, it’s free lunch).

Dinner was zucchini pizzas! YUM! I seriously love these things so much! Plus they were so easy to make. All you have to do is cut zucchinis in half, drizzle olive oil on top, and then top them with pizza sauce, cheese, and pepperoni. Then I baked them for about 20-25 minutes at 400 or until the zucchinis are as crunchy or soft as you prefer. So easy and tasty! Even Kyle liked them, and he is not a veggie person 😀
I thought they were going to turn out much smaller so I made way too many haha
On Friday morning, I went to the gym at my apartment complex and walked at a steep incline on the treadmill for 1.5 miles before work.

Protein smoothie for breakfast again before work!

Lunch was a big salad with tomatoes, peppers, tomatoes, and lemon vinaigrette dressing. This salad comes from a caterer in Noblesville, and I am OBSESSED with the salad dressing.
After work, I know that Kyle and I spent the evening together at home but I don’t remember anything else besides that… haha!

On Saturday, we were up bright and early to help move some of our friends. They just got a new house in a much better neighborhood so we’re super excited for them! We picked up chick fil a breakfast on the way there 🙂

Once we got home, Chance and I ran 3 miles outside. It was so beautiful outside! We were soaking up the weather while we could because we knew it was going to be cold soon! Then we headed to Kyle’s brother’s house to spend the rest of the day with his family for his dad’s birthday! His parents have been really great about helping plan the wedding so it’s been a blast talking/planning with them! We had a great time celebrating Kyle’s dad!

Long, busy day=best puppy cuddles!
On Sunday, my mom and I went to a bridal expo to get a lot of details on different ideas and vendors and what not. We had so much fun! It’s getting so real, y’all! I love it! 🙂 Then Kyle and I just relaxed for the rest of the night 🙂
On Monday, we had an early morning meeting before work so I didn’t work out beforehand.

Lunch was a salad with tomatoes, peppers, and cucumbers, and a spinach wrap on the side.

My day at work was INSANE so when I came home, Kyle insisted we get take out from Chuy’s. How could I argue?! These shrimp tacos can make any bad day better!
On Tuesday, Chance and I ran another 3 miles outside before work. My phone was not working all day so I left it at home for Kyle to take to the store while I was at work. When I came home, he had it working again! Yay!

We picked up dinner from Panera when I got home from work. I got the Fugi Apple with Chicken Salad. I get it without fried onions because YUCK. This salad is seriously my fave.

On Wednesday, breakfast was Wild Berry Cherrios.

Lunch was salad with quinoa and a turkey, avocado, and tomato sandwich all from Panera. Oh, and pickles of course.
After work, I took Chance to the bark park to run off some energy. He LOVES this weather… I hid in the corner by the shed to block the wind!

Yoga was amazing… again!
Side note.. can you see the difference in my teeth?! I am on the last month of my 5 month teeth straightening plan with Smile Direct Club, and I am amazed with the results! I’ll post a more detailed post about it when I’m all done 🙂

Dinner was a Blue Apron meal! We had Garlic Shrimp and Spanish Style Potatoes with Peppers and Onions. Super Yummy! Blue Apron has partnered with Weight Watchers to make lighter, healthier options and we are loving them so far! I like the idea of ending my day with less carbs and more protein and these meal options definitely help with that.

On Thursday morning, it was just too cold and windy for me to run outside so I went to the gym at my apartment to run on the treadmill. I did 3 miles.

Then I had my protein smoothie before getting ready for work!

Lunch was chicken strips and green beans!
This whole week, I’ve had a migraine almost every day. My migraines are always worse around my period so I’m sure that’s why. (Sorry if that’s TMI). After work on Thursday, my head hurt so much that I took my meds and went to sleep. Kyle came home and took care of Chance before waking me up for long enough to get me from the couch to bed for the night. Anybody else have worse migraines during their periods? Anything help?

Today, I woke up feeling much better and had more cheerios for breakfast. After I took Chance out, I did a little work out at home. I worked with my booty bands and dumbbells and did a mini total body work out before work.

I can usually say no to these, but I must have been ravenous from sleeping through dinner last night. Anyways , I treated myself to a donut at work to go with my coffee 🙂

Lunch was the same salad from all week and eggplant lasagna! It was super good! I’m going to have to find a recipe and try it at home.
Then when I got home, I took Chance to the bark park for a while and then came home to write this post. Now we’re waiting on Kyle to come home from work so we can all be together for the evening. I am looking forward to a weekend of SNOW and relaxation. It’s supposed to snow 8 inches here starting tonight, and we are so excited!
I hope you all have an awesome weekend! 🙂 Stay safe.
