Hey everybody! Holy moly, it has been forever since I have blogged. I am so happy to be back! We’ve been so busy with all things Christmas, but it has been so wonderful! Kyle and I celebrated Christmas with his family early and then headed to Nashville to spend a few days with my family. We had an amazing time, and my heart is so full.
I just have a few things I need to tell you in this post and then next week, I’ll be back to my normal recap posts!
One of the other things I’ve been doing is working out in the morning before I go to work, and it has been actually working really well! Chance and I head out for a run early in the morning, and it is amazing how much better I feel throughout the day! I always thought I wouldn’t like it, and that it wouldn’t fit into my schedule but those were obviously just excuses. If I want to go to the gym with Kyle, I think I’ll just take Chance for a walk in the morning and then go to the gym with Kyle when I get home from work. It’s just awesome to get those early morning runs in!
Another newish thing is that Kyle and I are going to be a lot more diligent about planning out our dinners the weekend before so that we aren’t scuffling around every day trying to make something or end up going out to eat. We decided to take a break from Blue Apron for a little bit to make our own meals. I’ve been enjoying it so far! Don’t get me wrong, I still love Blue Apron! We’ll still be getting boxes, just not every week. In fact, we have a giveaway this week! The first person to answer the questions below will get a free Blue Apron box! Yay!
Here’s our meal plan for the week:
- Grilled Turkey Breast Stuffed Peppers and Organic Shells and Cheese
- Chicken Stir Fry and Baked Sliced Red Potatoes
- Spaghetti Squash and Broccoli
- Grilled Chicken, Baked Asparagus and Carrots, and Baked Sliced Red Potatoes
- Salmon and Baked Broccoli
- Zucchini Pizza Boats
Later this week I am going to post more about the goals I have for this year in specific detail. I think it is so important to write things out and plan or else I just set myself up for failure. I have a lot of dreams for this next year, and I am super excited to dive into them!
The last and BIGGEST announcement I have is that Kyle took me to a beautiful light show on December 9th (Christmas lights are my ultimate favorite part of Christmastime) and PROPOSED! Through lots of tears, I blubbered yes! (Of course).
Kyle had my parents following us around the outdoor museum where all of the million and a half lights were before he got down on one knee, and I had no idea. That made it even more special and meant the world to me. My heart is still overflowing, and I tear up every time I think about it! We are having so much fun wedding planning, and I’ll be sharing things I learn along the way!
