Happy Sunday everybody! I am currently sitting on the couch with a puppy on my feet. It’s cold outside, and I just got home from my cousin’s birthday party. I’m going to write this recap and then have a self care night before Kyle gets home. I’m thinking a bath with a bath bomb, a face mask, and a hair mask. Sounds amazing!
Monday:
I started my morning off with my smoothie. Chance and I took a walk, and I did my morning yoga routine. Then off to work!
Lunch was a roast beef sandwich on whole wheat bread, veggies, grapes, pickles, and sea salt kettle chips.
Kyle was super sick Sunday night and into Monday morning so I picked him up soup and applesauce on my way home from work. I picked up a lunchable so I wouldn’t have to cook for just me. haha! Anyone know of any less processed lunchables? I forgot how much I love these unhealthy things.
Kyle rallied and went to Chance’s training class with us on Monday night. Since he felt so bad, I worked with Chance the whole time and he still did great! I am so proud of him. We went home and went straight to bed!
Tuesday:
Morning coffee with coconutmilk creamer. We have been trying the different bags of coffee at TJMaxx. They have a ton of different organic ones, and they have all been good so far! Also they’re super cheap.
I decided I didn’t want a smoothie or oatmeal so I made lettuce wraps. Random, I know! Lettuce, salami, and a little bit of cheese. I wasn’t super hungry so this hit the spot!
I had a big salad with all the veggies and veggie soup for lunch. Sooooo good!
When I got home, Chance and I headed out for a walk.
Dinner was random finds from Earth Fare. I stopped there on the way home from work and picked up what looked good. Gluten free pepperoni pizza, gluten free veggie potstickers, broccoli, and chocolate gelato for dessert.
Wednesday:
Back to my smoothie… Do you like my PJ pants? They’re super soft, and they were like $3 at Rose’s! I do love my sleep…
My salad consisted of lettuce, chicken, pico, and guac with some tortilla chips on the side. YUM!
After work, I went to the gym at my apartment to run on the treadmill. I did 1.2 miles and then walked for a little bit. I can’t wait to build my mileage back up again.
Kyle really wanted Chuy’s for dinner so how could I say no?! Shrimp tacos it is!
How fun is the floor at Chuy’s?! I would totally have this in a room at my house.
We watched a movie and then settled in for the night 🙂
Thursday:
A picture is worth a thousand words. 🙂
I used the daily reading from the She Reads Truth app for my devotional this morning. I am loving the Thanksgiving themed study this month! You can download the app and use the free studies they have or purchase extra ones that are only a few dollars. They’re all great!
My breakfast was gluten free oats with chocolate protein powder, almond milk, and almond butter.
We woke up to some MAJOR ice accumulation this morning. Kyle and Chance went out early to work on my car. I do NOT deserve them. The ice was super thick, and I basically glided to my car. My manager had us all come in a little later just to make sure we were safe which was really sweet. I love the winter, but it comes with some nasty weather so we have to be careful!
Lunch was salad with honey mustard dressing, almond covered chicken, and grilled veggies.
Half of a chocolate chip cookie and a cup of coffee for dessert 🙂
The trees covered in ice were so pretty!
Friday:
Breakfast smoothie, my usual morning routine, and then off to work!
Friday was a super busy and stressful day. I stayed over at work about an hour and a half and headed home with a migraine. I took my medicine and went to bed. Kyle moved me from the couch to my room around 10 and then I was asleep until morning.
Saturday:
Kyle worked today so I still got up at 5:30. It was a busy day! I spent the morning cleaning the whole apartment.
I ran a little over a mile before I went to get my nails done with my friend, Casey. Then I got some major Christmas shopping done!
I tried three different tacos from Qdoba for lunch. I mainly ate the insides, and it was super yummy! Lots of chicken, grilled veggies, guac, and tomatoes.
I picked up an unsweetened strawberry green tea to get me through the rest of my shopping. I was pathetically exhausted when I got home!
I sauteed chicken, carrots, and bok choy for dinner. Kyle wanted macaroni and cheese so obviously I obliged! I ate about a fourth of it and had to stop, or I would have burst!
We watched the comedy Handsome and then headed to bed. It was super cute and funny! We watched it on Amazon Prime. 🙂
Sunday: I woke up early with Kyle again and helped make his lunch. His sandwich looked so good so I made one for myself and had some fruit on the side!
Chance and I then took a two mile walk.
Kyle had to work so Jaycey and I headed to the early service at church. It was a great sermon about finding our identity in Christ alone and not in any earthly desires or person because they will NEVER fulfill us.
My eyes were much bigger than my stomach. I was still full from breakfast so I took most of this home. The few bites I had were soooo yummy though. Ever since I started eating healthier, I can’t eat very much fried foods without feeling like blah anymore. I guess that’s good, right?! Then Jaycey and I went our separate ways, and I headed to the birthday party.
And now we’re back to present time! I hope you all have a great Sunday night and get some self care time in. 🙂
Questions for you:
- Have you decorated for Christmas yet?
- Have you gotten any snow or ice yet?
- What are some of your favorite lifestyle blogs I should check out?
Healthy Lunchables = http://www.oscarmayer.com/our-products/natural/00044700094457
I have decorated for Christmas at home BUT that is because I am at my mom’s for the next two weeks and when I get home I won’t have a ton of time to put everything up!
Snow has arrived at home in Bloomington, IL AND in Apple Valley, MN where I split my time. But I am not complaining because I feel like it isn’t the holiday’s without snow!!
Oh my goodness thank you!! I will have to indulge in those when I get the cravings for a lunchable. You’re the best! And I love that all so much! Snow and Christmas decorations make me so happy!!
